Cookies, kept to a minimum.
This policy explains how KwypeSoft uses cookies and similar technologies on the Whispia website, and what choices you have. We aim to use as few as possible — only what is needed to run the site, plus a small amount of optional analytics if you consent. Read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage, pixels — work in comparable ways. We use the term “cookies” here to cover all of them. Cookies can be first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by another service we embed). They can be session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (kept for a set period).
Where this applies
This policy covers the Whispia marketing website. The Whispia mobile application is governed by the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service; the app does not place advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and uses on-device storage only as described in section 05.
The categories we use
Under French law (Article 82 of the Loi Informatique et Libertés) and the EU ePrivacy Directive, cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service you requested do not require consent. All others do. We group ours into three categories:
- Strictly necessary — cannot be turned off; the site doesn't work properly without them. Examples: session, security, language.
- Functional — remember preferences (e.g. dark/light mode) so the site behaves consistently across visits. Set only with your consent.
- Analytics — help us count visits, measure aggregate engagement, and improve the site. Anonymised, set only with your consent. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

The exact list may change as we add or remove tools. We update this table when it does and re-prompt you if a new non-necessary category is introduced.
No advertising trackersWe do not use Google Ads, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any cross-site advertising or profiling cookie. We do not sell or share data with data brokers.
In the mobile app
The Whispia app does not use browser cookies. It does store data locally on your device to make the app usable offline and remember your settings: account token, downloaded stories, saved sound mixes, language and accessibility preferences, and a cache of recently played items. This local data is described in the Privacy Policy. You can clear it at any time from Settings → Privacy & data → Reset device data, or by uninstalling the app.
Managing your choices
The first time you visit our site, a banner asks you to accept, refuse, or customise non-necessary cookies. You can change your choices at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
You can also manage cookies in your browser:
Disabling strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site (e.g. the language switch or the consent record itself). Disabling functional or analytics cookies does not affect access to content.
Changes
We may update this policy as we add or remove tools. The effective date at the top reflects the latest revision. If we add a new non-necessary cookie or change purpose, we will re-prompt you for consent before it is set.
